Building any home is a major undertaking. It takes a lot of money, time, energy, research, labor, patience—and maybe even a touch of foolishness. After 20 years of debating the why’s and how’s, we recently decided to push off into unfamiliar waters. This build blog documents our journey through the process of designing, planning and building our future home—a modern passive and active solar lake house in Wisconsin’s Northwoods.
